CLUB FLOOR AND VAULT WINTER COMP -

SUNDAY 10TH NOVEMBER 2019 

 

VENUE : CHEYLESMORE COMMUNITY CENTRE, Arundel Road, CV3 5JX.

 

Open to all Flyte Gymnasts that are in Year 1 and above.

 

Certificates will be handed out on the day but the results will be announced at our Annual Presentation Night and Family Disco on Friday 29th November and then emailed out after that date.

 

TIMINGS :-

 

5-7years 10am Registration and should finish approx 11.45am

 

8+years 12pm Registration and should finish approx 1.30pm

 

1.45pm Registration is for the Development and Squad groups as well as a few other individuals (I will email)

 

Please note there will be a spectator fee of £1.50 for adults on the day. Please bring the correct change if possible.

 

We have a lot of entries this year and we can only fit so many spectators in the hall so please be mindful of this. There will be a row at the back for standing to make it easier to see and also for space.

 

FLOOR ROUTINES FOR FLYTE GYMNASTICS COMPETITION

 

Age 5

  • Forward roll to stand
  • Forward roll to straddle sit
  • Bring legs together to Pike sit
  • Turn to front support
  • Jump feet in to hands
  • Bunny hop and stand up
  • Jump Half turn
  • ‘H’ balance

 

Age 6 and7

 

  • Forward roll to stand
  • Forward roll to straddle stand
  • Jump feet together, crouch down and lie on back
  • Dish shape,  roll to arch
  • Push up to front support, jump feet into crouch, stand up
  • Jump half turn
  • Step into arabesque (hold for 3 seconds)
  • BONUS Cartwheel to star (0.5)

 

 

Ages 8 and 9

 

  • Forward roll to stand
  • Half turning jump
  • Backward roll to straddle
  • Jump to front support jump to crouch
  • From crouch lie down onto back  and push to bridge
  • Roll to Shoulder stand and roll down to stand up
  • Step Arabesque (hold for 3 seconds), join legs to stretch
  • Cartwheel to finish in star
  • Full turning stretch jump
  • BONUS ‘L’ Handstand (0.5)

 

Age 10+

 

  • Arabesque
  • Handstand forward Roll
  • Cartwheel quarter turn inwards (front to back)
  • Backward roll to straddle stand, jump feet together
  • Crouch down and lift to tucked headstand
  • Roll back to lie flat, push to bridge (hold for 3 seconds)
  • Kick over (0.3 bonus) OR Roll to shoulder stand and roll up to stand
  • Chasse cat leap
  • Star Jump into Jump half turn
  • BONUS Round off stretch jump (0.5)
